It's a massive HELL NO for me!
From what I'm hearing and reading, it seems the Duck faithful are 50/50 on this.
WHAT??? 🫤😕😮😲☹️🫨🫢
"It's a NW thing" ....Do Ohio State fans root for Michigan because it's an "upper Midwest thing"?? Does Auburn root for Alabama because it's a "South thing"?? HELL NO LOL.
"It's a P12 thing"......PU-LEASE! The P12 is finito and here forth irrelevant!
------and the lamest of all reasons:....."Well, at least we can say we lost to the best team in college football and it makes Oregon look good"!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL are you kidding me? NO ONE CARES who the hell Oregon lost to! We'll just be little brother to the stinking MUTTS and they will make us EAT IT every single day for the rest of our stinking lives!!!!
EEEEEEEFFFFFFFFFFFF WASHINGTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOSE LOSE LOSE!!!!
Anyways, sorry to poison the well so to speak but I am truly interested in everyone's take on the NC.
No hard feeling either way....... Really

It's a big deep breath and a tough subject for me.
My quick answer and both thought out logical answer is hell no on the Huskies.
Then what's so tough for me you might ask?
Well, once the game got going in Texas looking around and Penix took the field my heart changed a little bit. Noticed I said "Penix" not Huskies. He throws a great ball and I like to think of him as independent from the team. He's not the least bit arragount from what I've seen and threads one of the best deep balls I've seen in ages. Yeah, that makes no sense since I despise the Huskies. That's why I say it's tough for me.
The Huskies winning is also a double edge sword. They win and you can say the Ducks were a single play away in 2 games from taking their place, which also makes things more frustrating. Maybe you can get a little traction in the defeat against UW fans. There's not much in that since we lost to them twice so I'm back to being conflicted.
One thing I can tell you for sure is how long the Ducks never lost to UW for over a decade. I know some national records were involved and it wasn't that long ago.

I will never root for the huskies; too many memories of their arrogant fanbase. Browning pointing, dancing on the O after that 2016 debacle. Fuck The Huskies!!!!!!!

Root for the Huskies!?
Too many ingrained smug-ass, better-than-anyone, pompous, arrogant attributes to the players, fans and media after living in Seattle as a die-hard Duck fan for 30+ years.
Never, ever in a bazillion years,
a.k.a.
Not a chance in hell,
a.k.a.
No fucking way,
a.k.a.
Wouldn’t piss on a Husky if their guts were on fire,
a.k.a.
“NO”

Thanks for the responses so far!
It's an interesting case study in sports fandom lol.
My OWN BROTHER will be rooting for the Mutts!

I don't root for UW at all. Obviously, both fan bases are generally hostile to each other. If UO was in the CFP, very few of them would be hoping for an Oregon title.
Looking at next season I fully expect Oregon to eclipse UW starting in Eugene.
And we can begin the process of putting the smug ones back in their place, hopefully without them winning the title game Monday night.
Because they will be bragging overtime on Oregon comment boards how much of a "blue blood" school they are.
Which they do already, based on that shared number 1 ranking with Miami in 1991.

The thing that p---es me off most, is they do not recruit at the same level as the Ducks...not even close. WTF, is there something in the water in Seattle? I have several friends that are Wolverines alumni, and getting invited to their party on Monday is paramount and an easy choice! A decision made easy for this mutt hater! Go Blue, and hope the sled pullers get humbled on Monday! Go Ducks!

Penix and those 3 NFL receivers is the reason. Also, good coaching and a stellar O line make the combination deadly.
If I was a betting man, my money is on the Mutts. And that is depressing!! I really, really hope I am wrong.
At least next year, they should take a step back but that's no consilation if they win it all this year.

I will hold my nose and root for Michigan. don't like Harbaugh, don't like the stench of his latest cheating scandal, and don't at all like the thought that he might become Justin Herbert's HC if Blue wins.
if the Dawgs win, I won't cry. I've been treated to some good seats and great tailgaters at Husky Stadium over the years. and my Dawg friends always remained gracious, even when the Ducks were pounding them 12 straight years.
lots of great memories from Husky Stadium over the years, but my favs remain the years when UW fans really thought they were going to win . . . 1995, 1997, 2009, 2015.
Rome Odunze, Ja'Lynn Polk, and Jalen McMillan were recruited to Montlake by Junior Adams, whom Lanning added to the UO staff when Jimmy Lake was fired. the Dawgs had plenty of talent and were badly underperforming, one of the many reasons Lake was fired.
Michael Penix, Jr, Dillon Johnson, and Jabbar Muhammad, among others, came to UW through the transfer portal. DeBoer is a solid coach and a no-nonsense guy. most people don't expect the Dawgs to reload next season, but with the past two seasons under their belt and another portal window in the spring, I expect they'll be a very good team in 2024. so will the Ducks.

Okay, so that’s that. Mutts can’t match Michigan line of scrimmage on either side and Penix was pressured all night.
I will sleep fine tonight.

Amazed at how Michigan's D just shut down Penix and his receivers! Also, without Johnson healthy they were just too one dimensional.
So sorry leg-lifters. So sorry!
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
